Talk about an incredible experience. I am an agency signed model, I have shot with many photographers, and my experience with Tien was by far one of the best, from start to finish. I hired Tien for my headshot portfolio update as she was one of the photographers my agent recommended. Before even arriving on set, she communicated well, was organized in picking a location, and was very professional. Once on set, she was helpful, energetic, and created a very positive feeling environment.
We began shooting, and she was encouraging and gave lots of lovely feedback, which helped my confidence throughout the shoot. She was able to show poses and tell me exactly what she wanted to see from me but still allowed me to venture and move in front of the camera in ways I have been trained and comfortable with. She knows exactly what my agent was looking for and how to make myself more marketable.
It felt like a very collaborative photoshoot. Tien was patient throughout my shoot, as I had a makeup artist on set touching me up throughout the shoot.
The pictures came out beautiful; she communicated with my agent in selecting the best pictures and also made sure I was okay with all selections. She made me feel like my opinion mattered and was valued through the process.

Tien is great!!! I really appreciated that she was willing to work with me and the weather since our original date turned out to be rainy/drizzling and we rescheduled. I let her know that I was very nervous since this was my first time doing a headshot photoshoot and Tien quickly walked me through exercises to help calm me down and flow through the hour. I stumbled on Lumax photography on social media and loved how the photos looked, so unique and fresh. I was so impressed by how helpful and patient Tien was, from everything from the wardrobe selection (she knows style!) to how fun the photoshoot was. Tien is super easy to communicate with. To be honest, I was nervous before our photoshoot but after 15min into the shoot... I felt really relax and I was having fun! She gives great directions and tells me where to look and what to do with my body. The location she chose was perfect. So many different areas to shoot. Time flew by so fast.
